Archaeologists believe that entire neighborhoods of Mohenjo-Daro were planned well before they were built. This was because the brick drains in Mohenjo-Daro were designed and built so they all linked together to allow waste to flow out of the city. There also would have been architects and engineers who understood how to sink deep wells that collected clean water and which did not collapse.
